Assistant Director's Report <br />End of June - mid July 2005 <br />June 22: Attended the Western Avenue Segment A meeting at Relic's <br />Discussed possibilities for that part of the Western Avenue <br />corridor, the rehabilitation of historic storefronts, and possible <br />re -use of the buildings <br />Paul Hayden reported on the June 1 Steering Committee meeting <br />June 27- July 1: Worked mainly on the Chapin Park Guidelines: blending <br />the revisions into the format of the printed version. <br />had to transfer an Adobe Acrobat file into a text file to be <br />able to edit the guidelines in Microsoft Word. Unfortunately, <br />this process would not allow me to transfer images, maps, <br />and diagrams; only text. Often, the text became garbled, and <br />had much to clean up and reformat. <br />Coordinated the venues and digital availability of the <br />guidelines for public comment with the Chapin Park <br />Standards Committee Chair and the Saint Joseph County web <br />master. <br />July 5: Delivered comment forms and guideline packets to venues <br />and checked on-line availability of documents. <br />July 7: Executive Committee meeting with Karen Ainsley, NNN. <br />July 12: Reviewed 322 Marion Street with Lynn and Catherine <br />July 14: Western Avenue meeting (see Catherine's report) <br />End of Chapin Park comment period, retrieved comment <br />envelops. <br />In the meantime: survey is plowing forward. <br />
