Hostetler, Director
Historic Preservation Commission
227 West Jefferson Blvd
South Bend, IN 46601-1830 By Facsimile and U.S. Mail
Re: Petition to Revoke Landmark Status
68286 Miami Road, Bremen, Indiana
Dear Ms. Hostetler:
I met with Wendy Roeder on February 17, 2005 after she had an opportunity to
meet with Ms. Sporleder and Julie Schutte. Mrs. Roeder said both women were very
cordial and helpful and that she appreciated the meeting.
In our discussion later, however, Ms Roeder expressed an interest in petitioning
the Historic Preservation Commission to revoke the designation of her property as an
historical landmark: this property's address is 68286 Miami Road, Bremen, Indiana, but
as you know the property is located in St. Joseph County. Accordingly, please consider
this letter to serve as a formal request and petition to start that process as outlined in
your letter to her dated February 15, 2005.
Please let me know if Ms. Roeder's petition will be placed on the agenda as new
business at the upcoming Commission meeting on February 28, 2005. Your response
can be communicated by either telephone, letter or fax at the numbers referenced
above.
