Prevention of indoor infestations <br />can be further improved by screening ventilators and <br />closing other openings through which the bugs can enter. <br />(Commercial pest control operators can use 1 % Baygon <br />spray for such openings including cracks around the <br />window screens and, if needed, attics and unexcavated <br />areas beneath the house). <br />Once inside the home, boxelder bugs are difficult to <br />control. Household sprays containing pyrethrins or res- <br />methrin may give temporary control.
