AL- ABBAS, P.E. <br />Please find attached the Amended Memorandum of Agreement for the above noted project. The <br />original plans for the Angela Bridge required retention of the existing bridge approach rails. <br />During demolition of the structure, it became apparent that the approach rails were in a more <br />deteriorated condition than previously thought. In order to meet current safety requirements, the <br />approach rails require removal and replacement. Approval of the amendment by the consulting <br />parties will allow the removal and replacement of the bridge approach rails in accordance with <br />the Indiana Department of Transportation and Federal Highway's specifications. <br />The attached document replaces the document approved at the July 29, 2003 meeting. The new <br />agreement is required because upon submission of the previously approved document, INDOT <br />and FHWA requested some. minor changes. Once fully executed, the agreement ensures that the <br />Angela Blvd. Bridge will be rehabilitated in accordance with stipulations described herein. <br />Upon execution, please return the original copy to the Engineer to forward the document to the <br />other consulting parties for their concurrence. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Susan D.
