siding and the only piece that might not be there and might need replaced is the lower
wooden sill.
2. That the original door that you currently have be repaired and used.
JOHN OXIAN: What type of door are you recommending for the front of the building,
Karen?
KAREN HAMMOND-NASH: My recommendation is that if there are two doors that
match, that those two doors be approved and that the third door be made to match the
other two doors. If all three of the doors are different, that the door of the owner's choice
be chosen and that all three front doors be the same.
LEIF BOUSKILL: One of the front doors is a steel raised panel door that I had installed
for the safety of my tenant. The other two front doors are different.
JOHN OXIAN: I am going to make a recommendation and I think that part of this
recommendation is going to have you work with both the staff and the inspector on some
of these items.
JOHN OXIAN: I will make a motion with the following recommendations:
I. That the three front doors be the style that I showed you.
2. The back door is to be repaired and the glass in the door is to be replaced with
lexion instead of plain glass for better security
3. Even though the siding is not going to be removed from the building, I would
suggest that you try and find out if there are windows on either side of the
of the building so you don't open up new openings when you don't have to.
If there does happen to be windows on either side of the building that the windows
will be restored and repaired.
4. The same type of siding that is already on the building be put on the wooded area
of the building that the owner wishes to have sided.
5. For every window that you want to reinstall wood frames around, that you first
look behind the siding that is already on the building and make sure that there are
no pre-existing original wood frames or parts of the pre-existing original wood
frames still there.
6. That you work with the inspector when it comes to the reconstruction of the
foundation of the building.
MARTHA CHOITS seconds the motion and the motion carries unanimously.
4. 2002-0412; Mayor Voorde Park, Edgewater District; rocks,
benches and trees.
-- -------------- ---
KAREN HAMMOND-NASH: There has been a -problem -with private individuals - - - --
driving trucks off the edge of the riverbank to launch boats, in this and other city parks.
The Parks Department has found the installation of large boulders along the riverbanks to
0
