NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />a. continued.... <br />Ewing Development Area by eminent <br />domain. <br />Ms. Kolata noted that this resolution <br />authorizes sending purchase offers for 11 <br />properties in the Sample -Ewing <br />Development Area. It also authorizes the <br />use of eminent domain if an agreement <br />cannot be reached on the purchase price <br />within a 30 day period. <br />Upon a motion by Mrs. Schwartz, <br />seconded by Mr. Donoho and unanimously <br />carried, the Commission adopted <br />Resolution No. 1495 related to acquisition <br />of property in the Sample -Ewing <br />Development Area by eminent domain. <br />b. Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1496 assigning a <br />contract between the Commission and <br />Walker Parking Consultants/Engineers, <br />Inc. to the Board of Public Works. <br />Ms. Kolata noted that recently the City <br />Council appropriated some Economic <br />Development Income Tax revenues that <br />will be used to pay the balance of the <br />Walker Parking contract. The staff <br />recommends assigning the contract to the <br />Board of Public Works.
