The structure fulfills criteria #1 as excellent example of a very popular 1800s style of <br />architectural design known as Queen Anne. It is exemplified in architecture by the use of <br />a mixture of siding materials, ornate and columned porches, irregular rooflines and <br />- gables. - The house at 806 Leland is a wonderful example of the Queen Anne style of <br />architecture, which is experiencing resurgence in popularity, evident in modern <br />construction. <br />The structure fulfills criteria #2 by its integrity of construction and style with limited <br />alteration to its original fabric in over one hundred years. <br />The structure fulfills criteria #3 by its association with Richard Elbel, owner of Elbel <br />Brothers music store and conductor of the Elbel Orchestra. <br />5 <br />
