Second Floor.] <br />In the second -story plan, Fig. 121, we find four bed -rooms of <br />good size, with two small ones, one of them used as a dressing - <br />room. There is also a bath -room, with space for a water -closet <br />at the end of the entry. At a, a narrow flight of stairs ascends <br />to the apartment, 9 by 9 feet, in the top of the tower which <br />may be a museum or a prospect gallery. <br />It would be sufficient for most families, if there were a cellar <br />constructed under all but the main part of the building. The <br />latter would then only require foundation walls. <br />Co,xsTitucrrioN. We have designed this villa for wood, to <br />enable those who wish to build a tasteful and picturesque <br />dwelling at an economical price to do so, in parts of the <br />country where other materials are dear. But it may be built <br />with still better effect of stone, or brick colored, or of brick <br />cemented. In the latter case, however, it will require a <br />
