inspector who stopped by the property that indicated that we should have a single pane
that would be large enough for egress and that would be on the north wall. There is
another size window on the front of the house and that is a much larger window and that
would be a single two - casement on the outside of a single thick pane.
A discussion was then held between Mr. Smith and commission members regarding the
repairs that are to be completed in the C. of A. for the property located at 345 Sunnyside
Avenue.
(There was also a detailed discussion on the type, style, and location of the windows
that are to be installed at this property)
JOANN SPORLEDER: On application 2002 -0801, I would recommend approving the
following:
(1) Adding a curve to the little gable roof over the front stoop.
(2) Replacement of windows all except the diamond windows on the top; and the
windows are to be plain vinyl clad windows without muttons.
(3) Replacement shutters of the owner's choice.
(4) Replacement of the wood front door to a more substantial door.
(5) Replacement of the garage door to the "Sunnymede Style" with vertical muntons
dividing the window lights; and I would recommend a steel door as John suggested,
because it is insulated and will give you less trouble.
(6) Repair of deteriorated siding, replacing the rotted boards as needed, and
reconfiguring the area around the bay window which is going to be removed and
replaced with plain flat windows and the siding on either side will be done to
match the other existing vertical siding.
CATHERINE HOSTETLER: I second the motion.
GERALD UJDAK: All those in favor say aye. All those against say nay. Motion carries
unanimously.
KAREN HAMMOND -NASH: Item number 2002 -0806; 119 LaPorte Avenue. The
application is to build an 8 by 8 utility shed.
