The owner has had numerous problems with the slate roof, which is well passed its life <br />expectancy and has had to spend a lot of money to repair the slate over the years. The <br />owner is not requesting to re -roof the entire house, only to replace the slate on the worst <br />portion of the roof. The roof is gabled with two very long shed dormers, it is roofing <br />under the shed dormer that the owner wishes to replace. This particular portion of roof <br />has had severe damage to the slate every other year and is causing interior damage do to <br />water leakage. The owner came to the staff with this application late, but needs the <br />Commission to review it on the 21" in order to get the material ordered before they leave <br />for the summer. Because of the late date that this application was received, the staff was <br />unable to review the product and as such cannot make a recommendation at this time. <br />The owner has assured the staff that she will be at the meeting as will her contractor to <br />answer any questions and to further explains the project and the desired product. <br />2 <br />
