3) Its identification with the life of a person or persons of historical significance. <br />The site and structure fulfill criteria #1 as an excellent example of a turn -of -the -century <br />Neo -Classical style live in hotel. This structure is rated C/10 in the Indiana Historic Sites <br />and Structures Inventory; however, the staff feels this rating is too low. The structure has <br />been virtually unchanged in almost 100 years, shows classic elements of the Neo - <br />Classical style in commercial structures and is closely related to prominent South Bend <br />developers, John and Edward Rush. <br />The site and structure fulfill criteria #2 by its integrity of original construction with <br />virtually no changes to the structure or site. <br />The site and structure fulfill criteria #3 with its association to South Bend developers, <br />John and Edward Rush. <br />3 <br />
