Because of its age, there are no real foundation footings. Buildup of the surrounding earth lets the water enter the garage. The floor does suffer from cracking. There is also some loose clapboards, but should be easily repaired. The original garage doors have been removed. The overall condition of the structure is very sound but in need of painting. The roof decking is constructed of five -inch lumber and the shingles, which fit the period, are in what appear to be excellent shape. The structure measurers 12'4" wide by 18'3" deep. The peak of the roofline is 107". The door opening is 8' and the depth for the parking space is 17'. It is my recommendation that the existing building is retained and a new garage door, appropriate for the era, and be used as a replacement. There should be room for another structure of two stalls to be constructed adjacent to the existing garage. Respectfully submitted, Wayne R.
