RECOMMENDATION <br />The owner is proposing to remove two second story, front fagade, wood double hung <br />windows and replace them with new vinyl windows. They are also proposing to wrap the trim <br />in coil stock aluminum. <br />The existing wood windows are currently in disrepair, they leak horribly and do not operate <br />affectively. The proposed replacement windows would have little effect on the overall <br />appearance and character of the structure, thus, the staff recommends approval of the <br />replacement windows. However, the staff feels that wrapping the trim would make these <br />windows stand out in comparison to the wood trim located through out the rest of the house. <br />The staff finds the proposed wrapping of the trim to be in violation of the guidelines and <br />recommends denial of this portion of the application. <br />3 <br />
