D. Committee Report <br />1.Historic District <br />Mr. Talley noted that an opening has occurred with in the Riverside Drive Historic <br />District Liaison Committee with another potential opening occurring within the next <br />couple of months. Mr. Oxian stated that he needed a letter from Rolanda Hughes, stating <br />that she was still interested in becoming a liaison member for Riverside Drive. <br />2. Executive Committee <br />None. <br />3.Historic Landmarks <br />None. <br />4.Standards and Maintenance <br />None. <br />E. Staff Reports <br />1.Staff Approved CofA's ( see attachments). <br />2.Legal <br />None. <br />3.Miscellaneous Activities & Grants <br />Mr. Talley stated that the Request for Proposals for the printing of the new County <br />Survey would be sent out with in the next fourteen days. <br />IV. Old Business <br />A. Harris Prairie Cemetery <br />Mr. Oxian stated that the Cemetery passed the County Council and is now a Local <br />Landmark. <br />B. Department Meeting <br />Mr. Oxian noted that a meeting was held with the County Commissioners, John Lentz <br />and Historic Preservation Commission members and Staff concerning the new <br />department, budget, salaries and City funding. Mr. Talley noted that the Staff has been <br />asked to meet with the members of the Mishawaka Historic Preservation Commission in <br />regards to the properties affected by the CVS proposal. He further noted that they were <br />simply requesting the Staffs opinion of the situation and fully understood that the Historic <br />Preservation Commission of South Bend and St. Joseph County did not have any <br />jurisdiction with in the City limits of Mishawaka. <br />V. New Business <br />A. Nomination of Officers <br />Mr. Weiner stated that the Nominating Committee has elected John Oxian as president, <br />Catherine Hostetler as Vice President, Jerry Weiner as Treasurer and Adrian Fine as <br />Secretary pending his acceptance of the position. Mr. Weiner moved to accept the <br />Committees recommendations. Mr. Helmus seconded the motion: The motion passed <br />unanimously. Mrs. Sporleder asked how many vacancies currently existed on the <br />Commission. Mr. Talley stated that presently there is only one vacancy. <br />15 <br />
