PROPOSED CHANGE(S) <br />The Applicant is proposing to add a gas grill to the backyard patio, plant Arbor Vitae <br />along neighbors fence on south side, replace current bushes in front of garage with Arbor Vitae, <br />remove bushes along west property line and park and replace with Arbor Vitae and pave dirt <br />area behind garage leading out to patio with pavers if available otherwise a cement pad will be <br />used <br />REFERENCE TO GOVERNING STANDARDS: <br />Restoration: Rehabilitation: <br />The Preservation Guidelines for Riverside Drive Local Historic District: <br />b) ... The Guidelines for the Riverside Drive Street Historic District follow the Rehabilitation <br />Model.... <br />I. Environment <br />B. Building Site, Landscaping and Accessories <br />I.B. Required <br />Plants, trees, fencing, walkways ... which reflect the property's history and development shall <br />be retained. <br />I.B. Recommended <br />New site work should also be appropriate to existing surrounding site elements in scale, type <br />and appearance. Plant material and trees in close proximity to the buildings that are causing <br />deterioration to the building's historic fabric should be removed.
