2. Apply neutralizing rinse of 2 ounces baking soda
to I gallon water.
3. Saturate thoroughly and allow neutralizing
solution to dwell on the surface 3 to 5 minutes.
4. Apply final rinse of clear water.
Metallic Discolorations
Because of the metallic oxides contained in many
new colors of brick in use today, green and brown
stains can form on the masonry surface. These
stains occur when vanadium, manganese or other
oxides migrate to the surface of the brick. Where
significant levels of metallic oxides are present in
the masonry, an improper dilution of 600 Detergent
can contribute to staining.
If the brick shows metallic staining before or after
testing, follow these additional steps:
If stains are light to moderate, test using 600
Detergent at a dilution rate of 8 parts water to I part
concentrate. After rinsing, allow brick to weather 10
to 14 days. Often minor stains will disappear if
allowed to weather.
If acceptable results are obtained, proceed with
overall cleaning using 'this dilution rate. After
cleaning is completed and the wall has been allowed
to weather, remove any minor stains that have not
weathered by spot treating with Sure Klean" stain
removal products.
If severe stains are apparent before original testing
or become a problem at any time during the testing,
use Sure KleanO Vana Troll" instead of 600
Detergent. Vana Troll' is a cleaning compound
formulated specifically to control metallic staining.
Follow the procedures outlined in the Vana Troll'
product literature.
SAFETY INFORMATION
DANGERI A'- POISON!
CAUSES SEVERE BURNS
(CONTAINS HYDROCHLORIC ACID)
MAY BE FATAL IF SWALLOWED
HARMFUL IF INHALED
(CONTAINS HYDROCHLORIC ACID)
For Use By Professional Applicators Only
Keep Out Of The Reach Of Children
Read Precautionary Measures Carefully
Precautionary Measures
Contains hydrochloric acid. Do not get in eyes, on
skin, or clothing. Avoid breathing fumes and
contact with mucous membranes. Keep container
tightly closed when not dispensing product.
Use only with adequate ventilation. Wash
thoroughly after handling. Wear rubber gloves, face
shields, goggles and protective clothing to avoid
splash to bare skin or eyes. Use disposable filter
respirator when working in confined areas.
Avoid exposing building occupants to fumes. When
applying outside occupied buildings, all windows, air
intakes and exterior air conditioning vents should be
covered (and air handling equipment shut down)
during and for 30 minutes following application.
Dispose of all empty containers according to
federal, state, and local regulations.
Staging and scaffolding must be well maintained
and equipped with steel cable. Acidic materials will
attack nylon, cotton or hemp roping. Use
polypropylene ropes and safety lines. Avoid wind
drift onto autos and pedestrians by protecting or
diverting such traffic. Do not alter, mix with
chlorine -type bleaches or other chemicals or dilute
product except as specified on the label. Do not use
for applications other than specified. Read Material
Safety Data- Sheet for additional safety and health
hazard information.
First Aid Instructions
Skin and Eye Contact Treatment: In case of
contact, immediately flush eyes or skin with plenty
of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove
contaminated clothing and shoes. Call a physician.
Wash clothing before reuse. (Discard contaminated
shoes.)
Inhalation Treatment: Remove to fresh air. If not
breathing, give artificial respiration, preferably
mouth-to-mouth. If breathing is difficult, call
ambulance or proceed to hospital emergency room.
Call a physician.
Ingestion Treatment: Do NOT induce vomiting!
Give large quantities of water followed by milk or
Milk of Magnesia. Call a physician immediately.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious
person.
Fire and Explosion Hazard Data
Contact with metals produces extremely flammable
and explosive hydrogen gas.
Spill or Leak Procedures
Contain the spill, dilute with water, and neutralize
with soda ash or dilute caustic soda. Provide
adequate ventilation. Dispose of according to local,
state and federal regulations.
Item #10020
SK60OD-122898
OCopy(ight PROSOCO, Inc. 1998
