STANDARDS: <br />Standards for this district are restoration. Guidelines do not allow the existing character <br />of the house to be altered. The original character of the house is to be maintained. (p 25 of the <br />Guidelines) <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Based upon the Guidelines for this district, staff cannot approve the request. We have, <br />however, suggested that the window opening be allowed to be covered over on the inside, leav- <br />ing the outside character of the house intact. <br />
