Stoops and small patios also are in evidence. Of those porches that have roofs, many have either hip or gable roofs or are covered by the -main roof of the house. Columned porticos, porches with broken pediments or turrets, and other porch forms characteristic of the Period Revival styles are also found in the district. Original lighting fixtures should be retained whenever possible. Prohibited Holes shall not be cut through wails or roofs in areas that can be seen from the street to accommodate air conditioners or other mechanical equipment.
