Mrs. DeRose stated that the Commission should word the motion so it approves the seperation <br />of lot 10 from the landmark. She also noted that further investigation should be made to <br />determine whether or not lot 11 actually contains the landmarked school house. Mr. Oxian <br />moved to seperate lot ten from lot eleven and that the Cook School House, on lot eleven, be <br />landmarked by ordinance. Mrs. Sporleder seconded the motion. The motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />3. Miscellaneous Activities & Grants <br />None <br />VI. Old Business <br />None. <br />V. New Business <br />Mr. Talley noted that a motion needed to be made to approve the Commissions expenditures for <br />1998. Mr. Oxian asked if the Commission could approve it with out advertising it. Mrs. <br />DeRose stated that the topic would have to be advertised before the Commission could vote on <br />it. <br />VI. Hearing of Visitors <br />Rolanda Hughes gave a presentation concerning a letter she had previously sent to the <br />Commission outlining her dislike of the sudden increase in the number of rear yard privacy <br />fences located in the Riverside Drive Historic District and the appropriateness of such fences in <br />an historic area. <br />Mr. Sporleder stated that on July 14, 1999 a workshop in Wacamaw City concerning <br />neighborhood unity. <br />VII.
