Mr. Talley presented the issues concerning 982 Riverside Drive and 1636 Lincolnway West. <br />He noted that he has not heard anything from the owners of either properties in regards to their <br />violations. He further noted that the building department fouled up by giving the owner of 1636 <br />Lincolnway West a permit for a sign with out a permit from the Commission. Mr. Talley stated <br />that he is proposing to change the preservation plan allowing the commission to order the owner <br />to remove any work that has been done without a permit. There was some discussion over the <br />difficulty the staff has had in getting the Building Department to cooperate with the <br />Commission. Mr. Oxian discussed the need for the Commission to have its own inspector. <br />IV. Regular Business <br />A. Approval of Minutes <br />None. <br />B. Treasurer's Report <br />Mr. Oxian stated that there was a report in everyone's packet. Mr. Talley asked if everyone was <br />able to read the print outs. He went on to notify the Commissioners that effective January 1, <br />2000 the Historic Preservation Commission will become an official department which means <br />the office will have to issue a yearly budget. <br />C.
