There was some more discussion over the centering of the door. Mr. Fine moved to approve the <br />application as proposed with the exception that if possible that the door be centered and if the <br />appeal is approved then the door not be allowed. Mr. Wiener seconded the motion. The motion <br />passed with Mr. Oxian, a member of the Water Works Board, abstaining. <br />B. Local Landmarks <br />1. 617 West LaSalle - second reading <br />Mr. Talley presented the staff report and photographs. Mrs. Petrass interjected that both Mr. & <br />Mrs. Holdeman were doctors. There was some discussion over if Mr. Brookins owned the <br />house, where it was decided that he did own the house but was not responsible for moving it. <br />Mr. Talley noted that there is owner consent for the landmarking of this house. Mr. Fine moved <br />to forward the application to the City Council with all the changes to the report. Mrs. Hostetler <br />seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br />2.415 W. Madison - first reading <br />Mr. Oxian noted that 415 W. Madison was up for its first reading. <br />IV. Regular Business <br />A. Approval of Minutes <br />Mr. Oxian stated that on page two a description of what was approved needed to be added. He <br />also noted a few other grammatical errors and misinformation. Mrs. Sporleder moved to <br />approve the minutes as corrected. Mr. Fine seconded the motion. The motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />B. Treasurer's Report <br />None. <br />C. Correspondence <br />Mr. Talley stated that the Preservation Round Up would be held on Saturday, September 26th, <br />and the Cornelius O'Brian Conference is being held in October. <br />D. Committee Reports <br />1. Historic Districts <br />Mr. Oxian stated that the South St. Joseph Street proposed historic district will be before the <br />Common Council on Monday, September 28th, unless it can be moved to a later meeting. <br />He also noted that the North St. Joseph Street proposed historic district went before Area Plan <br />where it was table to October 26th do to the controversy over 121 E. Navarre. <br />There some discussion over who was present at the Area Plan meeting for North St. Joseph. <br />2. Historic Landmarks <br />None. <br />t- I <br />
