CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS STAFF REPORT <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The applicant proposes to install aluminum triple -track storm windows to the <br />first floor frbnt windows of this house which otherwise has such windows at <br />all other locations. The guidelines allow installation of such storm windows <br />which do not damage or remove features of the existing window system. However <br />the guidelines call for such storm windows to be painted the color of the <br />existing window sash to minimize the visual impact of such storms. -These <br />windows are typically available in a white factory finish which would match <br />the existing color of these sash. Staff recommends approval with this <br />consideration. In this case there may be some argument for allowing the mill <br />finish on new windows for uniformity with other storms which are unpainted. <br />DBD <br />6/8/98 <br />
