Mr. Oxian'stated that since the windows located under the front porch roof are . <br />structural sound -then they should' be retained. Mrs. Sporleder'stated that if <br />they were,retained then storm windows 'shouldbe placed over them because.their <br />inefficiency."Mr. Oxian asked if Mrs:. Sporleder, was recommending that those <br />windows be "replaced too. Mrs. Sporleder stated that.the best thing to do <br />would be to allow Mr. Trevino to replace' all,of the window's, thus,.making,the <br />house more energy efficient and livable: There was some discussion over how_ . <br />the new windows would"make the house more livable. <br />There was -some discussion over the process of moving the rear porch steps from <br />the .-rear door ",to --the east 'side door- with out breaking. them. It was also <br />discussed that if the steps should fall apart .in the move that a new set -of <br />poured concrete steps should be allowed.to replace them. <br />Mr. Oxian stated that he agreed with Mrs. Sporleder that ,a- screen/storm door <br />should be placed 'over the east side rear porch door to help preserve it. Mrs. <br />Sporleder moved -to approve the, application as submitted with the additional , <br />recommendation that a screen/storm door be installed over the east side door <br />of the enclosed back porch. Mrs. Choitz seconded the motion. He then noted that in .his own house he made the <br />attic windows operable to allow more ventilation. Mr. Taschetta stated their <br />attic windows are operable and that the attic still gets extremely hot. The <br />motion passed unanimously. <br />Mrs.'Sporleder noted that, in regards.to.1631 Lincolnway West, the recommended <br />,storm door may not -meet todays codes. Mr. Duvall <br />stated that Mr. Farr would have to apply for the new window on a separate <br />application.
