CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS STAFF REPORT <br />Staff does have -reservations regarding the impact of this proposal on adjacent <br />property owners and general security concerns. Property line hedgerows with <br />shrub planting are established at both sides. Especially on the west line, the _ <br />proposed fence may interfere with maintenance of these established..landscaping <br />features. The applicant has assured me that -she has consulted with this owner.' <br />and that the fencing will be sufficiently set off of these plantings to allow <br />growth and maintenance. Secondly Staff has expressed concern that the height <br />of.the proposed fence will effectively reduce sightlines across- the property <br />and from the house to its perimeters which may be counterproductive for the <br />security of the property.
