Annual Organizational Meeting - January 2, 1997 <br />6. 1996 ACCOM[PLISEM4ENTS (Cont.) <br />There has been a significant amount of work <br />completed on the house move block; the first <br />two house moves have been completed, two <br />additional houses have been moved and <br />construction is to be completed in 1997. One <br />house that existed on the block has been <br />rehabbed. <br />She noted that construction of the Family & <br />Children Center has begun and that the <br />Parkview Juvenile Justice Center is near <br />completion. Construction on Elder Parkway <br />has begun and should be completed by June <br />1997. Land has been sold to Ivy Tech State <br />College for their new campus with <br />construction to begin in 1997. <br />Land has been sold and three buildings have <br />Awl been completed: Champion SoftWater on <br />Sample Street, Hydronics and Steam <br />Equipment on Main Street, and Midwest <br />Machine on Lafayette Street. These three <br />buildings are currently occupied. <br />She noted that construction has begun on the <br />second portion of the Richard Allen project at <br />Main and Broadway. This is a flexible, light <br />industrial building. His first building is <br />completely occupied and he is starting the <br />second building. <br />She noted that a $60,000 grant has been <br />received from the Economic Development <br />Administration for the study of the former <br />White Farm site (Oliver P1owWorks). <br />
