Annual Organizational Meeting - January 2, 1997 <br />6. 1996 ACCOM[PLISHNIENTS (Cont.) <br />During the year four buildings were <br />completed in the Blackthorn Corporate Park: <br />Sullivan Advertising, Nephrology, The Blue <br />Heron Event Center, and the Jack Young <br />Building which is occupied by Orion, a <br />software engineering firm. All these <br />buildings are occupied, but they are not <br />totally completed. Landscaping will be <br />completed in early 1997. She noted that <br />Peterson Engineering is currently under <br />construction. The construction of that <br />building brings the total number of buildings <br />to five, under construction or near <br />completion, in the first year in the Blackthorn <br />Corporate Park. <br />She noted that Redevelopment entered into <br />the Contract for Sale of Land for the Quality <br />Suites Hotel at Blackthorn which will be a <br />five -story building with 150 suites. <br />Mrs. Kolata noted that Redevelopment has <br />received a grant totaling $4,900,000, from <br />the Transportation Finance Authority for the <br />construction of an inter -change at St. Joseph <br />Valley Parkway and Nimtz Parkway. The <br />grading work has begun and the construction <br />work will be bid in March 1997 and <br />completed by the end of 1997. <br />She noted that Garphyttan Wire, the first <br />industrial building in the International Center <br />located east of the corporate park on Nimtz <br />Parkway has been completed. <br />The last two lots in the Toll Road Industrial <br />Park have been sold to Elumatec and <br />-4- <br />
