South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - December 20, 1996 <br />g. continued.... <br />that it fits in with the previous <br />developments that have been occurring in <br />this area, the Family and Children's <br />Center, the Parkview facility, and <br />eventually Ivy Tech State College, in a <br />neighborhood that needs these developed <br />and proposed projects and services. <br />Mrs. Kolata request that this proposal be PROPOSAL WAS REFERRED TO STAFF <br />referred to staff. There were no <br />objections and item 6.g. was referred to <br />the staff. <br />h. Staff report on acquisition of property <br />in the West Washington- Chapin <br />Development Area. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that the staff sent a <br />purchase offer to Steven G. Smith for <br />property located at 309 - 313 S. Scott <br />Street. She stated that Steven Smith's <br />attorney sent a counter offer in the <br />amount of $20,000 and states that they <br />will resolve all the special exceptions <br />listed in the title policy for this particular <br />property. The staff recommends <br />accepting the counter offer subject to the <br />resolution of all the title exceptions. <br />Upon a motion Mr. Donoho, seconded by <br />COMMISSION ACCEPTED THE COUNTER OFFER OF <br />Mr. Hojnacki and unanimously carried, <br />$20,000 FROM STEVEN G. SMITH FOR PROPERTY AT <br />the Commission accepted the counter <br />309 - 313 S. SCOTT STREET, SUBJECT TO THE <br />offer of $20,000 from Steven G. Smith for <br />RESOLUTION OF ALL TITLE EXCEPTIONS BY MR. <br />SMITH <br />property at 309 - 313 S. Scott Street, <br />subject to the resolution of all title <br />exceptions by Mr. Smith. <br />6.
