1 <br />EAGLE <br />SPECIFICATIONS wC-a°°°RS <br />FRAME: All exterior frame parts shall be clad with premium grade T-6 aluminum <br />extrusions having a wall thickness of .055. Fitted to the inside of these extrusions shall be <br />clear, kiln dried, select wood components, treated with water repellent preservative, in <br />accordance with NWWDA Industry standard IS4. The wood sill shall be clad with a T-6 <br />aluminum extrusion to a point under the lower sash where it contacts a dual durometer <br />vinyl extrusion to provide a positive thermal break. The basic jamb width is 4 9/16'. <br />Optional jamb extensions are available to accommodate the wall thickness required. <br />Snap -on mounting fins shall be provided on all four sides of the frame to permit positive <br />anchorage to the building. Frames may be easily and efficiently joined together in multiple <br />unit groups. Wood frame parts may be painted or stained. Both side jambs shall be <br />equipped with a rigid vinyl extrusion to having a wall thickness of .060. Full length flexible <br />foam shall be factory installed behind each jamb liner to provide resistance air and water <br />infiltration and permit the sash be factory installed behind each jamb liner to provide <br />resistance to air and water infiltration and permit the sash to be tilted. Installation clips are <br />also available to be used in lieu of the snap -on mounted fins. <br />SASH: All wood sash members shall be clad with T-6 aluminum extrusions, having a wall <br />thickness of .055. Fitted to the inside of these extrusions shall be clear, kiln dried, selected <br />wood components, treated with water repe;lent preservative, in accordance with NWWDA <br />Industry standard IS4. Sash shall be mechanically fastened at the corners and sealed with <br />butyl. <br />EXTERIOR FINISH: A standard exterior finish of Sierra Bronze, Pebble Tan, and colony <br />White tones are offered in a thermal setting acrylic film that fully covers the exterior. <br />• GLAZING: The sash shall be glazed with 5/8' EAGLE Maximizer Low E or clear insulating <br />glass, having a 7/16' inside air space. The insulating glass fabrication shall consist of a <br />dual seal for added longevity and stability. The glass shall be held in place from the <br />i interior with wood stops that are pin -nailed for easy reglazing. The insulated glass is set <br />i in a butyl bed to insure the seal between the sash extrusion and the insulated glass. It is <br />recommended that the glass not be used in altitudes in excess of 5000 feet above sea <br />level. Special high altitude glass is available. <br />HARDWARE: Each pair of sash shall have a check lock and sash lift factory installed. Each <br />sash shall have two specially designed, pivot -lock mechanisms which permit each sash to <br />be pivoted inward, at the bottom of the sash and held in place there while the sash is tilted <br />inward for washing. The pivot -lock mechanism shall be made of zinc die cast <br />components. Each sash shall have two spring balances or block and tackle assembly <br />depending upon the sash weight. Balances shall be factory installed, semi -concealed, in <br />vertical channels of the side jamb liner. <br />SCREENS: Screens shall consist of charcoal fiberglass screen cloth, 18x16 mesh, set in a <br />Sierra Bronze, Pebble Tan, and Colony White aluminum frame. Screens are also available <br />with an aluminum mesh. Screens shall be fastened to the window unit using spring bolts. <br />REMOVABLE WOOD GRILLES: Colonial Lite 5/8" or 7/8' wood grilles of unfinished wood <br />are available as an option. <br />COMBINATION UNITS: An optional, self -storing storm and screen unit shall be available <br />to be mounted on the outside of the window unit. Sierra Bronze, Pebble Tan, and Colony <br />White are offered as color finishes. A thermosetting acrylic film fully covers the exterior. <br />Frame shall have perimeter weatherstripping. <br />PERFORMANCE: The EAGLE Double Hung Window System meets requirements for <br />• ANSI/NWWDA IS 2-87 Grade 20, Grade 40, Grade 60. Japanese JIS 10 and 20 kilograms <br />per square meter. Canadian CMHAC (the application for CMHAC has been filed).
