Staff also has concerns for the impact that the installation of the <br />underground piping system to the Pumping Station may have on landscape <br />features and archaeological remains of earlier park features. <br />Staff therefore recommends that the approval of this well include only <br />temporary approval of the proposed chain-link fence enclosure as a scheme may <br />be proposed fore the enclosure of this and future wells which protects not <br />only the equipment and the public safety but also the esthetic integrity of <br />the park. <br />Staff would furthermore request timely notification of activities which will <br />disturb the park environment for the purpose of observing any subterranean <br />features of the park which may,come to light during this process. <br />DBD <br />8/11/96 <br />• <br />U <br />
