Hearing of Visitors <br />Dr. Klopfer suggested the exploration of possible funding sources, <br />ie. banks, public utilities, etc. for the purpose of providing low <br />interest loans for the restoration of private residences. <br />Discussion ensued. Commissioner Sporleder spoke about the Community <br />Investment Act. Commissioner Hostetler spoke about the advantages <br />of using the Equiline to rehabilitate properties. <br />Commissioner Sporleder and Commissioner Choitz cited South Bend <br />Heritage as a group which uses multiple source, creative financing <br />for their projects. Commissioner Sporleder requested that staff <br />put together a checklist of sources for financing rehabs which are <br />locally available. <br />Mr. Talley asked about the removal of trees at the North Pumping <br />Station. He also commented on the RD-LHD streetlight setback plan <br />proposed by the city engineer. <br />Commissioner Sporleder asked about the WPA reservoir house and the <br />Beiger Heritage plan to move it to a new location. <br />
