'A, <br />5. Historic Landmarks <br />A. 520 East Colfax, the Dille/Probst House <br />Commissioner Petrass moved to send a favorable recommendation to the Common <br />Council concerning the designation of this property as a Local Landmark. <br />Commissioner Hostetler seconded the motion. No discussion. The motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />B. 310 W. Monroe, first reading; Commissioner Oxian requested copies of the <br />survey card for the property for each commissioner at the next meeting. <br />Counsel and Mr. Duvall spoke briefly about interaction with Charismatic <br />Renewal Services, Inc. <br />6. Standards and Maintenance <br />A. 621 Lincolnway East - EP-LHD <br />The committee denied the C of A application for the demolition of the <br />front porch. <br />B. 1417 East Wayne - EW-LHD <br />No final determination has been submitted by the Hickeys concerning their <br />proposed window replacement. <br />7. Personnel <br />A. The staff employment agreement has been finalized. <br />B. Mr. Frederick, HPC staff, announced his resignation. <br />8. Staff Reports <br />A. Lincolnway West Potential Local Historic District <br />Mr. Duvall reported on the progress toward an application for the new <br />LWW-LHD. <br />B. 701 E. Pennsylvania - Local Landmark <br />Mr. Duvall reported on the ongoing conflict between the owners and the <br />Department of Code Enforcement. <br />C. River Bend Local Historic District standards booklet to be printed in house. <br />D. RD-LHD bank erosion; Discussion ensued concerning the bank examination by <br />HPC, MACOG, USGS and the Army Corps of Engineers. Commissioner Hostetler <br />moved to direct staff to write MACOG formally requesting their input and <br />involvement in the erosion problem in all river side LHDs. <br />E. 505/507 W. Washington <br />Mr. Duvall reported on his research into casualty losses and historic <br />preservation tax credits. <br />F. Bendix Estate <br />Mr. Duvall reported that he accopmanied Ms. Karen Kiemnec and Mr. Stanley <br />Gilbert on a tour of the estate. Mr. Gilbert has expressed some interest in <br />a national and/or local designation for the property. <br />G. Central High School and Stephenson Mill/Opelika <br />Staff and HLFI staff viewed window mock up and general progress with Tom <br />Meredith, State Architect. Staff was also made aware of the problems concerning <br />an abandoned fuel oil storage tank which straddles the property line between <br />Captain Alexander's Wharf and the Stephenson Mill project. MACOG has been <br />made aware of the situation as well. <br />H. Section 106/Environmental Review <br />Staff has requested assistance from the SHPO as regards the development <br />of a consistent approach to these processes by the two CLGs with programmatic <br />agreements in Indiana. (South Bend and Ft. Wayne) <br />
