Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1473 approving an <br />application for real property tax <br />deduction for property located at 1919 <br />South Michigan Street in the Sample - <br />Ewing Development Area. <br />Mike Beitzinger gave the staff report. <br />APS, Inc. consists of Sergio's Pools and <br />Spas and First Response Construction Co. <br />Sergio's Pools and Spas is a residential <br />and commercial retailer and contractor for <br />in ground and above ground swimming <br />pools and spas. First Response <br />Construction Company provides <br />professional fire and water damage <br />restoration services to residential and <br />commercial property owners. The project <br />calls for the construction of an 8,000 sft. <br />2 -story warehouse /office building <br />addition. Also, the existing building and <br />parking lot will be renovated to provide <br />increased showroom space and additional <br />parking. The total estimated cost of the <br />building addition and renovations is <br />$100,000. <br />Per the petition, it is estimated that this <br />project will create three new permanent <br />full -time jobs within the first year, <br />representing an annual payroll of $69,000 <br />and will maintain thirty -five full -time jobs <br />and ten part-time jobs, representing an <br />annual payroll of $881,000. <br />c <br />
