Bend/St. Joseph County <br />County City Building, Rm. 1123 <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />Re: The Dille -Probst House located at 540 East Colfax Street, <br />in South Bend, St. Joseph County Indiana. <br />Dear Commission Members: <br />We have received an application for the above named <br />property to be listed in the Indiana Register of Historic Sites <br />and Structures. The purpose of this letter is to provide <br />information on the State Register program and to afford you an <br />opportunity to concur in or object to the application in <br />accordance with IC 14-3-3.4. <br />Any person who wishes to object to State Register listing must <br />submit a written statement indicating his or her interest in the <br />property and that they object to the listing. The statement must <br />be sent to the Director, Division of Historic Preservation and <br />Archaeology, 402 West Washington Street, Room 274, Indianapolis, <br />Indiana 46204 and must be received within thirty (30) days of the <br />date of this letter. <br />I.f no negative comments are received within the allotted time, the <br />property will be listed in the Indiana Register of Historic Sites <br />and Structures in accordance with the state law. If negative <br />comments are received, a hearing and determination on the <br />nomination to the State Register will be held by a designated <br />member of the Indiana Historic Preservation Review Board. The <br />Review Board's decision is subject to administrative review by the <br />Natural Resources Commission in accordance with IC 4-21.5. <br />Review of State Funded and Assisted Construction <br />IC 14-3-3.4-9P seeks to encourage the preservation of Indiana's <br />historic resources. All state funded or assisted construction <br />which will adversely affect historic sites or structures owned by <br />the State of Indiana or historic sites or structures listed in the <br />• State Register must be approved by the State Review Board.
