Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />7th Floor, County Commissioner's <br />Conference Room, County -City Bldg. <br />II. Roll Call <br />Members present: Mrs. Martha Choitz; Mr. Jed Eide; Ms. Catherine Hostetler; <br />Mr. John Oxian; Mr. Jerry Wiener. <br />Members absent: Mrs. Janeanne Petrass; Ms. Jewel Van Dalsen; Mrs. Joann Sporleder. <br />Staff present: Chip Frederick; Administrative Assistant <br />Also present: Aladean DeRose-Deputy City Attorney; Ron Farr -740 Bronson; <br />Paul Richardson -726 Arch; Marcus Adrian; Marty Murphy -1121 Riverside Drive; <br />Ed Talley -Riverside Drive Liasion; Dennis Laskowski 615/617 Riverside Drive; <br />Kevin Boughal-South Bend Tribune; Charles and Joan Lennon -1318 East Wayne(N); <br />Bill Lamie-1417 Wall St. <br />III. Public Hearing <br />A. Certificates of Appropriateness. <br />1. 726 Arch Avenue -Edgewater Place-LHD <br />Mr. Frederick read the staff report. Mr. Farr stated the case for the <br />proposal. Mr. Oxian read the report from Ms. Van Dalsen which recommended denial <br />of the petition. Discussion between Mr. Oxian and Mr. Farr ensued. Ms. DeRose <br />suggested the withdrawal of the COA application pending the introduction of <br />new information. <br />2. 209 Hammond Court-Riverbend-LHD <br />Mr. Frederick read the staff report. Discussion ensued. Mrs. Choitz <br />moved for approval of the motion. Mr. Wiener seconded. Motion passed <br />unanimously. Ms. Hostetler abstained. <br />3. 1067 Riverside Drive -Riverside Drive-LHD <br />Mr. Frederick read the staff report. Mr. Murphy spoke in favor of the <br />petition. Mr. Eide and Mr. Talley discussed:the placement of the streetlights <br />in a conforming pattern. Mr. Eide moved for approval. Mrs. Choitz seconded. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />4. 708 N. St. Joseph St.-Riverbend-LHD <br />Mr. Frederick read the staff report. Mrs. Choitz moved for approval. <br />Mr. Eide seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. Ms. Hostetler <br />abstained. <br />5. 1318 East Wayne (N) -East Wayne-LHD <br />Mr. Frederick read the staff report. Bill Lamie spoke for the applicants. <br />He detailed the condition of the existing windows and supported the rational <br />for replacement. The Lennon's spoke for their stewardship of the property and <br />gave historical background concerning it's design. Discussion ensued between <br />the commissioners and the owners. <br />
