Ll
JEROME P. WIENER - P.O. Box 2495 - South Bend, IN 46680
(219)-234-8286
RESUME
For the past 9 years I have lived in a local landmark home
located in a National Register Historic District. During the
past 8 years I have served as a board member and officer of
the Park Avenue Neighborhood Association where I have
published the neighborhood newsletter, written a lengthy
history of the neighborhood, organized and/or participated
in a home tour, candlelight walks, neighborhood clean-up
days and numerous other activities.
I have been active in Southhold Restorations, Inc. (a not-
for-profit local historic preservation organization) as a.
board member and officer for 8 years. I am currently
Southhold's treasurer and project director and have overseen
projects such as restoration of the teahouse located at the
Oliver Mansion and the moving of two houses from the
Memorial Hospital area to Monroe Park. I also helped with
the restoration of the four -faced clock located in the
Marriot Hotel atrium.
I am a member of the National Trust for Historic
Preservation and the Historic Landmarks Foundation of
Indiana. I have been a subscriber to the 'Old House Journal'
for many years. I recently provided volunteer technical
assistance, supervision and labor installing a new cedar
shingle roof on the Navarre Cabin located in Leeper Park.
I feel that my mechanical and technical abilities and
knowledge as well as my sense of history and appreciation of
old architecture make me an asset to the local Historic
Preservation Commission.
