NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />b. continued.... <br />create new employment opportunities and <br />maintain existing employment <br />opportunities. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hojnacki, <br />seconded by Mr. Donoho and carried, the <br />Commission adopted Resolution <br />No. 1463, a Resolution approving an <br />application for personal property tax <br />deduction for property located at 1702 W. <br />Washington. Mr. Faccenda abstained <br />from the vote. <br />c. Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1464, a Resolution of <br />the South Bend Redevelopment <br />Commission determining to pay certain <br />expenses incurred for local public <br />improvements in or serving the West <br />Washington - Chapin Allocation Area <br />(South Bend Allocation Area No. 7) <br />from the West Washington- Chapin <br />Allocation Area (South Bend <br />Allocation Area No. 7) Special Fund. <br />Mrs. Kolata noted that this resolution sets <br />a public hearing for October 18, 1996 at <br />10:00 a.m. to appropriate $4,985.35. She <br />stated that this is the balance from the tax <br />increment that has been collected in the <br />West Washington area. The <br />appropriation will be used to reimburse <br />the Department of Code Enforcement for <br />some of their costs associated with <br />demolition of 505 W.
