NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />a. continued.... <br />grand opening. <br />David Higham stated that he needs to <br />consult with Susan Vissar, Director of the <br />South Bend Museum of Art to find out <br />the exact date when they would expect to <br />have their grand opening. He stated that <br />he didn't know exactly but probably <br />sometime in late October or early <br />November. He acknowledged their <br />appreciation to the Commission for <br />allowing them this opportunity. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hunt, seconded by CONMSSION APPROVED THE OCCUPANCY <br />Mr. Faccenda and unanimously carried, AGREEMENT FOR A PORTION OF THE PALAIS <br />the Commission approved the Occupancy <br />ROYALE BUILDING <br />Agreement for a portion of the Palais <br />Royale Building. <br />b. Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1464, a Resolution <br />approving an application for personal <br />property tax deduction for property <br />located at 1702 West Washington <br />Street in the West Washington- Chapin <br />Development Area. <br />Mike Beitzinger gave the report on the <br />proposed project. Manufacturing <br />Technology, Inc. is in the business of <br />designing, building and servicing friction <br />welding and production welding <br />equipment, as well as engineering and <br />design services. Their project calls for the <br />purchase and construction of the Model <br />180 Friction Welder for use in production <br />to provide high quality friction welds. <br />The total cost of the new equipment is <br />fir+ <br />-5- <br />
