SED30 (see attached spec:), which feat. -ores a conventional
simulated wood panel detail., be chosen over the owner'.; proposal
of model #CS7007, SED49, which features simulated crisscross
st. ickwork.
7. The gabled outbuilding, used and bui1L as a storage shed,
appears to have been constructed in the 1940's on the foundation
of an earlier structure. The structure, in fair condition,
consists of vertical wood board siding, asphalt shingled gable
roof- with exposed rafters, contemporary or bearded over windows,
and a foundation of hand hewn wood timber. The staff would
encourage restoraLion and reuse (the building would probably need
to be resided) over demolition; the structure is the least
valuable of the historic elements, yet still contributes to the
context of the farmstead. Should demolition be allowed, the
staff recommends that the owner document Lhe structure as per
standard D sited above.
8.-The'machine.shed is sided with contemporary corrugated metal
in fair- condition.' Its structural system, a heavy timber framing
system, appears older than its exterior appearance indicates.
Replacement with new metal siding is appropriate.
J. PasLor
HPC Staff
