Regular Monthly Meeting (1) <br />of the <br />Historic Preservation Commission <br />County Council Caucus Room #411 <br />County -City Building <br />7:30 p.m. <br />January 20, 1992 <br />I. Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />II. Roll Call <br />Members Present: Mr. John Oxian, President; <br />Mrs. Jean Dennen; Mr. Jed Eide; Mrs. Janeanne Petrass; <br />Mr. Herb Herendeen; Mrs. Joanne Sporleder; <br />Mr. Fred Holycross, Director; Mr. James Pastor, <br />Administrative Assistant; Mrs. Aladean DeRose, <br />City Attorney; Ms. Suzanne Booker, Surveyor. <br />Members Absent: Mr. Odell Newburn, Mrs. Martha Choitz, <br />Mr. William Welsheimer Sr. <br />Also Present: Ms. Barbara Steele, Southold Restorations; <br />Mr. Gregory M. Suth; Mr. Steve Murphy, 1071 Riverside; <br />Mr. Kevin Boughal, South Bend Tribune. <br />Iii. Public Hearing <br />A. Certificates of Appropriateness <br />1. 1071 Riverside --Local Historic District <br />Mr. Pastor reported three exterior changes to this <br />house. Certificates of appropriateness had been <br />filed after the fact for each change. The changes <br />were: <br />--replacement of a 7 -foot -tall wire fence with a <br />wood stockade fence <br />--installation of aluminum gutters and downspouts <br />--replacement of a large wood multipane casement <br />pair, situated on a rear extension, with a smaller <br />elliptical fixed sash, with wood infill to match <br />the existing clapboard. <br />Mr. Pastor distributed photographs illustrating <br />these changes. <br />Mr. Oxian directed the Commission to vote on each <br />alteration separately: <br />
