NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />b. continued.... <br />petition as owner of the property. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hojnacki, <br />seconded by Mr. Donoho and <br />unanimously carried, the Commission <br />authorized and ratified the Director <br />signing the tax abatement petition. <br />Mike Beitzinger gave a report on the <br />proposed project. Elumatec USA is the <br />United States sales, service, and <br />distribution hub for the Eugen Lutz <br />GmbH & Co. Eugen Lutz, located in <br />Muehlacker- Lomersheim Germany, <br />produces industrial saws, drills, and other <br />processing machinery for aluminum and <br />vinyl extrusions. Elumatec imports the <br />equipment and sells to customers <br />throughout the United States. Their <br />project calls for the construction of a <br />25,000 square foot distribution center. <br />The distribution center will house <br />warehouse, office and demonstration <br />functions. All administrative support for <br />the US operation will also be performed <br />at this site. The total cost for the project <br />is estimated at $550,000. Per the <br />petition, it is estimated that this project <br />will create six new permanent full-time <br />jobs with an annual payroll of $204,000. <br />The average salaries for these jobs will be <br />approximately $34,000 each. <br />A review of the tax abatements previously <br />granted finds that Elumatec USA has not <br />been granted any previous tax <br />abatements.
