f I
South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Meeting - September 20, 1996
6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont.)
k. continued....
Mrs. Kolata noted that this Certificate of
Waiver forgives $406.70 as of August 30,
1996.
Upon a motion by Mr. Hojnacki,
seconded by Mr. Donoho and
unanimously carried, the Commission
approved the Certificate of Waiver in
connection with the Rental Rehab Loan
Program for property located at 712
Lindsey. (Louis M. and Mary H. Seago)
7. PROGRESS REPORTS
Mrs. Kolata reported that the Design Review
function that was handled by Tom Eddington
has been transferred over to the Building
Department as of September 9. Jim Markle
will serve as the Design Review
Administrator. So far, it has worked
extremely well. The intent was to try and
streamline the process and make it more
customer friendly by having design review at
the same location where building permits are
issued.
The staff has received a grant from the
Economic Development Administration in the
amount of $60,000 to do a re -use analysis of
the former White Farm property to see if it is
economically viable to revitalize as an
Industrial Park. This is a year long study that
will include estimates on demolition, market
analysis, cost of developing an industrial park
etc.
-31-
COMMISSION APPROVED THE CERTIFICATE OF
WAIVER IN CONNECTION WITH THE RENTAL
REHAB LOAN PROGRAM FOR PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 712 LINDSEY (LOUIS M. AND MARY
H. SEAGO)
