M E M O R A N D U M TO: HPC Members FROM: Lori Dixon, Director RE: Appropriation DATE: May 16, 1991 { At our meeting Monday, I will -be requesting permission to ask the County. for an appropriation to our account. This appropriation would cover only money which we will receive from the. federal.government, i.e. it would be fully, reimbursed to the county. The figures are as follows: We have remaining in.this grant, unclaimed, $13';964,:00 in federal funds. ($.6292.00 for the survey and $ 7,672 for the CLG grant) Our next grant will be for $26,600.00 in federal funds. This gives us a.total of $40,564 in federal funds which will go back to.the County when we claim them. In addition, we have $10';827.52 in CDBG monies from the city which will also be turned over to the County General account when claimed. That gives us a grand total of $ 51,392.00 in federal funds yet to be expended between now and June 30, 1992. The;:ex�enditure:of these funds will be reim- bursed by the government and quietused into the County General account, so the County would not be out any additional money over their allocation to us in the budget (and they have even received some of that back already). So, here's the bottom line: we need $51,392 in appropriations from the County which will be fully reimbursed to them by the federal government. We can break it down to meet the budget deadline if necessary, as follows: 1991:$15:;964_to be expended by June 30, 1991 (reimbursed by Sept. or Oct.) $13,300 to he expended by December 31, 1991 (reimb. by April, 1992) $10,828 �o be expended by December 31, 1991 (reimb. by Feb. 1992) 1992:$13,300 to be expended by June 30, 1992 (reimb. by Sept./Oct. 1992) $51,392 total appropriation request Thank you for your consideration of this matter.
