Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:40 p.m. <br />II. North Shore Dr.), <br />Mr. Joseph MacHatton (owner, 621 Lincolnway East), <br />Mr. Todd Zeiger (Monroe Park). <br />III. Public Hearing <br />A. Lincolnway East Historic District --Bill 64-91. <br />Mr. Oxian asked the petitioners from the <br />Lincolnway East historic district to tell the commission <br />why they wished to secede from the district. <br />Mr. Nelson Shafer, estate controller for Delbert and <br />Mabel Shafer (1402, 1404, 1406, and 1412 LWE), spoke <br />first. He said he was speaking for the section of <br />the district east of Vernon Street; he had signatures <br />from 17 of the 18 property owners there. He said <br />none of these individuals had originally signed an <br />agreement to belong to the district. No proper <br />notification had been issued when the district was <br />formed. <br />He said the district standards made it difficult for <br />owners to sell their property.
