South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - September 6, 1996 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />w. Commission approval requested for <br />proposals for professional services. <br />Mrs. Kolata noted that the staff had a <br />discussion with the owner of HTI and he <br />is interested in selling the property at 529 <br />Crescent Ave. adjacent to the Design <br />Packaging property that Redevelopment <br />owns on Niles Avenue. The staff requests <br />that the Commission hire Bernie Dedrich <br />at a fee of $800.00 to appraise the <br />property. The second appraiser is <br />Douglas L. Carpenter to be paid $700.00 <br />for professional services. The staff <br />recommends accepting both proposals. <br />The Commission will take action at a later <br />date to authorize sending a purchase offer <br />on this property. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Donoho, seconded COMMISSION APPROVED THE PROPOSALS FOR <br />by Mr. Hunt and unanimously carried, the PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br />Commission approved the proposals from <br />Appraisal Group, Inc. and Douglas L. <br />Carpenter & Associates for professional <br />services. <br />z. Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1459 authorizing such <br />actions as may be necessary for the <br />sustitution and replacement of the <br />credit facility for the South Bend <br />Redevelopment Authority Variable <br />Rate Demand Lease Rental Revenue <br />Bonds of 1994 (Hall of Fame) <br />Mrs. Manier noted that the <br />Redevelopment Authority has a letter of <br />credit backing for the Hall of Fame Bond. <br />The staff has been approached by another <br />-27- <br />
