Date <br />Appendix C <br />historic preservation commission <br />of south bend and st. joseph county <br />Report of Meeting <br />I <br />Time <br />February 20, :990 7:00 p.m. <br />Planner Lori Dixon Location 1 1 t h Floor <br />County/City Bldg. <br />The meeting with citizens of Lincoln Way East was attended <br />by nine residents and/or property owners, Mrs. Petrass, Mr. <br />Herendeen, and Mrs. Dixon of the HPC. The current <br />guidelines for the district were reviewed and discussed. <br />Laura Wisemann-Gnoth volunteered to lead the nominating <br />committee for liason committee members. <br />Other topics of discussion included the lack of curbing on <br />the south side of the street, the lack of maintenance of the <br />riverbank and the inability of property owners to clean up <br />the area due to highway guardrails, and the potential for <br />altering the boundaries of the district. <br />The HPC stated that they would attempt to_ con tact the <br />governmental unit resposible for trimming the riverbank <br />along the sidewalk on the north side of Lincoln Way East. <br />The HPC also attempted to clarify any misconceptions <br />regarding district status and the existance of the original <br />ballots. <br />The meeting went fairly well and concluded at approximately <br />8:45 p.m. <br />
