3 <br />Mrs. Dixon reported that the removal of the <br />chimney, tabled in June, was approved by a <br />majority of the commission members <br />(telephone poll). The property owner will <br />remove the chimney down to its entrance <br />into the roofline, and rebuild with red <br />brick, to match if possible, or a brownish <br />brick. <br />2. Budget & Finance <br />a) E. Wayne Street Signage <br />Mrs. Dixon reported that the city had <br />completed signs for the district and <br />that as soon as the city receives <br />payment for the signage, they will <br />install the signs as requested. <br />Mrs. Dixon also reported that the <br />County Commissioners had tabled the HPC <br />request for an appropriation to the <br />budget for the 1990 -91 grant to allow <br />them the opportunity to look into the <br />possibility that the monies had already <br />been allotted at the beginning of the <br />year. Mrs. Dixon stated that, if they <br />do take the monies from the existing <br />HPC budget allotment, the commission <br />would still have several thousand <br />dollars. <br />Mr. Herendeen moved that, in light of <br />the current financial situation, the <br />monies be expended for signage for East <br />Wayne Street as requested; Mrs. Petrass <br />seconded. Motion approved. <br />b) County Budget Proposal <br />Mrs. Dixon reported that the county <br />budget proposals will be coming to her <br />shortly. She asked the commission's <br />approval to request the same amount <br />($38,100) for the 1991 year. Mrs. <br />Choitz so moved; Mrs. Petrass seconded. <br />Motion approved. <br />Mr. Oxian asked about the city budget. <br />Mrs. Dixon stated that she had been <br />unable to obtain information about the <br />budget. <br />c) Community Development Grant Proposal <br />Mrs. Dixon reported that she was in the <br />process of applying for Community <br />Development grant monies.
