She did not think it would detract from the <br />property in any way. No existing standards prohibit it. <br />c) 107 W. North Shore--WNS. <br />Mrs. Dixon presented photographs of a tree which the owners wish to <br />r\smove. They agreed that the tree was "truly dead." <br />2. Budget and Finance. <br />Mrs. Dixon outlined several proposed expenditures. First, she wishes to <br />procure various office supplies, including 30 cardboard tubes for the storage <br />of drawings, paper clips, manila envelopes, etc. She estimated the total <br />cost at $120. She would also like to acquire several archipectural books; <br />she named the books and quoted their prices. Mrs. Sporledei moved to <br />approve; Mrs. Petrass seconded; motion approved. <br />Mrs. Dixon then updated the Commission regarding her search for a new <br />computer. She reported that the state had approved ariy one of the first <br />five computers she had listed, including software and printer. She cited <br />the DTK clone as her own preference, and described some of this model's <br />capabilities. The State Office, however, must amend the HPC grant before <br />she can buy the computer. <br />The primary function of the computer will be data storage. Files will be <br />easy to access using a variety of cross-references. The computer could <br />also be used to type letters, print out survey cards, etc. <br />3. Legal. No report. <br />a <br />4. This house, Mr. Oxian reported, was <br />moved from Washington street (beside the Oliver mansion) to its present <br />location about 1910. Mrs. Choitz moved to approve; Mr. Herendeen <br />seconded; motion approved. <br />b) 1533 Lincolnway West --2nd Reading. This includes the exchange building <br />for the Home Telephone Company and the house in front of it. Mrs. Choitz <br />moved to approve; Mrs. Petrass seconded; motion approved. <br />6. Personnel <br />40a) Mrs. Dixon reported that she has received an application for the position <br />of survey manager and is attempting to set up an interview. The applicant <br />has been contacted by mail but is presently involved in graduation cere- <br />monies. <br />
