Certificates of Appropriateness
1. 619 Edgewater
Mrs. Dixon reported that the owner had been provided forms
from the DNR for their permission -to install a pier. The
resident requested some form of guideline for what type
of structure would be permissible.
Mr. Oxian recommended that the owner develop a plan for
the structure, then present it to the Commission or a
committee thereof. Then, the Commission would be backing
the plan that he would submit to the DNR.
Mrs. Choitz asked about the size intended by the resident.
The resident stated that he would like to get into deeper
water, and construct a pier and deck -like structure which
would have a drawbridge so that uninvited persons could
not obtain access to his boat and equipment, but he needs
to find out how far into the waterway before he can design
the pier.
10
