South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Meeting - July 3, 1996
6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont.)
g. continued....
amount of $1,100.00. The original
purchase offer was $700.00. The staff
recommends accepting the counter offer.
Upon a motion by Mr. Hojnacki, seconded
by Mr. Donoho and unanimously carried,
the Commission accepted the counter offer
from Paul Kunz in the amount of $1,100
for the vacant lot located at 619
Pennsylvania St.
h. Commission approval requested for use
of Palais Royale Ballroom by United
Way of St. Joseph County.
Mrs. Kolata noted that the staff has
received a letter from Jim Martindale at
United Way requesting the use of the
Palais Royale Ballroom on September 12,
1996, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to be
used for the United Way Campaign Kick -
Off. Jim Martindale states that they have
notified their insurance carrier to provide
the Redevelopment Commission the
liability coverage that is required.
Mrs. Kolata asked the Commission to
approve the use of the Royale Palais
Ballroom by United Way subject to them
meeting all requirements of the Building
Department and the Fire Department. The
Fire Department has agreed to station
firemen in the building, so that if there are
any problems, the firemen can direct
people out of the building and that is an
acceptable alternative to the Building
Department.
-15-
COMMISSION ACCEPTED THE COUNTER
OFFER FROM PAUL KUNZ IN THE AMOUNT
OF $1,100 FOR THE VACANT LOT LOCATED
AT 619 PENNSYLVANIA ST.
