0 <br />Ms. Kiemnec announced that grant proposals to the Indiana Division <br />of Historic Preservation for projects such as survey updates, <br />salaries, and research are due Dec. 15, 1986. <br />C. Historic Districts <br />1) Riverside Drive Annual Meeting <br />The annual meeting was a potluck dinner attended by 40 to 50 <br />people on October 23, 1986, and held in the YWCA dining room. <br />Mr. Dick Bennett, Riverside Drive Liaison Committee <br />Chairperson gave a report on street lights. Ms. Kiemnec, <br />director of the HPC gave a report on the standards and showed <br />a film entitled "A Place in Time". <br />d. Historic Landmarks <br />No Report <br />e. Staff Report <br />1) Indiana Main Street Conference <br />Ms. Kiemnec stated that the city requested she represent them <br />at the First Annual Indiana Main Street Conference and that <br />she will prepare a report which will be sent with the November <br />minutes. <br />2) Main Street Project Manager for South Bend <br />Ms. Kiemnec announced that the Main Street Project Manager for <br />South Bend is Pat Sizer and that there will be a small <br />reception at the Northern Indiana Historical Society sponsored <br />by all the historical organizations on the 25th of November, <br />from 5 to 7 p.m., to familiarize Ms. Sizer with the various <br />organizations and what we do. <br />3) Survey Records Management - (Survey Update) <br />Ms. Kiemnec, with the approval of the Personnel <br />Committee,announced the hiring of Mary Suter, as our new <br />Research Assistant who will be working with the Survey Update. <br />Ms. Kiemnec also announced that Chris Nagy, who is finishing <br />up his master's program at Ball State in Preservation, will <br />begin with us in January.
